The Good Witch

A collaboration with !

I was thinking about a gift for my mother's birthday... my friend Svetlana opened up some commissions... perfect timing! I commissioned a portrait of her, which Svetlana completed in no time at all and did a fantastic job!  As the portrait suggests my mother is a fun-loving individual and revels in the holidays, Halloween in particular, dressing up and decorating for various children's parties in the area... as well as baking all sorts of yummy treats (her pie crust is to die for).  She also takes in stray and abandoned cats.  Finding a place to sit in her home usually involves picking up a cat from a chair and putting it on your lap as you sit...  clearly they run the place.

She is also a very gifted creative person and has a child-like innocence in the way she sees the world... not unlike me  In that respect, she and I share the same muse.  This piece then is an opportunity to give a little bit of that back to her.
