I discovered a scene
in a colorless dream;
felt compelled to design
a more honorable shrine.

With a thoughtful green brush,
the landscapes became lush.
With affirming blue paint,
the sky surrendered its taint.
With deep encouraging strokes,
the sea swirled higher hopes.
With soulful fauna replete,
my revision was complete!

With a prism's mindful pace,
a more glorious inner-space!

We have the ability to paint ourselves as anything we like.  Why not make it something glorious?

Good job! I Ioved that it was about painting and what a painter does to a piece of paper.

Yes I attempted to use nature, art, and renewal metaphors... I feel all 3 are connected very closely.

Yeah! They really are! I was gonna ask you: is it hard to come up with some new ideas of a poem?

Not really.  I have ideas all the time and write them into my phone (I could be anywhere)... they could be inspired by anything.  I might have 5 or 6 ideas every day, and 1 or 2 of them have enough substance to turn into a poem.  I do "thought sketches" on visual art (you will see a lot of those in my gallery) as an exercise in developing an idea quickly.  However at this point I find I'm able to write a finished piece much more often so you will see less of them.

Thanks for the question! :)

I wish I could do stuff like that, but I'm always so busy. I feel like I'll just be writing what the next person says. :(

Well, it certainly takes practice!  You have to spend a lot of time writing whatever ideas pop into your head, good or bad, one sentence or 10.  Then as you go about your day you might hear a phrase in your head that is witty or interesting.  Those are the things you want to write down before you forget them!  I'm sure you could get better at it with a little effort! :) :)
